Kaylyn here! Decorating for the winter season is always fun, but since it’s our first Christmas in our own home, it’s even more special this year! We love making things feel cozy and welcoming while still feeling very modern and polished, and we wanted our winter decor to be the same! If you’re looking for some winter home decoration inspiration, you’ll love what we put together!
You can never have too many Christmas trees, which is why we have a gorgeous all-white and gold tree in our office! So on-brand, right? Across from the tree, we decorated our shelves with some candles and acrylic signs to *spruce* up the room with some holiday joy. The All is Bright Decorative Candle is a fun way to add a little personality to the decor, and these colorful acrylic signs add a pretty pop of color! This room is also where you’ll find us writing in our Pink Christmas Stationery Set to send to our families!
Next is the living room, where you’ll find our big tree! This one has our personal ornaments on it, including the very appropriate Our First Home Ornament, some custom glass ball ornaments from years past, and some Disney ornaments to represent the characters we played at the job where we met! Under this tree, we have lots of gifts with our Christmas Classics Gift Tags on them, too!
One of my favorite things each year is filling up our little wooden sleigh with Christmas Cards from our family & friends. On the coffee table, you’ll find our Calligraphy Reindeer Coasters, which are great for placing a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine. You’ll see our Elf Pillow on the chair in the background, and also our Calligraphy Reindeer Acrylic Sign adorning the fireplace. Inside the fireplace are a few of our favorite Christmas Candles, which Olive clearly likes to nap in front of!
In the kitchen we have some of our favorite items! We set up a cute minimalist Christmas village (all decor from Target) in the bay window at the head of our kitchen. We have the cutest little tree to hold our fun winter wine charms, too! One of my favorite pieces of decor, though, has to be our Christmas List Acrylic Sign which just reminds me to enjoy every little bit of this season!
With winter finally here, we’re ready to start baking our hearts out (while watching baking shows, of course). Our I Watch A Lot of Baking Shows Mug is always full of tea or hot chocolate while we’re baking! And of course, it sits right next to our Have A Cup of Cheer Mug and our Jolly Holiday Coasters. It’s nice and chilly finally, so we are cuddled up in our I Watch A Lot of Baking Shows Sweatshirt (okay, but when are we NOT cuddled up in this, I guess 😂).
It’s time to get cozy! We are very much comfort people, so we love having sweaters and sweatshirts we can wear anywhere! That’s probably why we have SO many sweatshirts in our shop – because we love them! Upgrade your Christmas closet with this cute Fa La La Tree Pullover, the Buddy The Elf Activity Pullover, or the Calligraphy Reindeer Pullover! If you want something you can wear year round, try our Dog Mom Cropped Pullover, Do Less T-Shirt, or our Dog Dad Hat!
What’s Christmas in our first house without putting up Christmas lights for the first time?! Which also means it was my first time up on the roof… I had so much fun (and didn’t fall off which is a big plus)! And, because Kaitlin and James are coming to visit, we had to add a little touch of Christmas and their own stockings in our guest room!
What do you think about our winter home decoration inspiration? We hope you liked seeing how we decorated for our first Christmas in our own house!
