Adding Your Personality to Your Wedding

Making your wedding feel true to you as a couple is such an important part of the big day! We love when couples want to add details to their wedding that really tie in part of their story or some of their favorite things. We’ve been so lucky to be able to work with so many couples who have creative ideas that we love making come to life! Adding personality to your wedding should be fun, and we’re here to help!

Here’s a list of our 8 favorite ways couples added their own personality to their weddings.

Jessica + Jerome

This sweet couple met on a plane (can you believe that?! It’s a literal meet cute from a movie!) and later got engaged on a plane! Since planes were a big part of their story, they decided to incorporate them into their seating chart and wax seals. It’s such a sweet little nod to how they met!

Christina + Kelly

You know we love dogs, so when Christina and Kelly wanted to make sure their five dogs (past and present!) were included in the wedding somehow, we were so excited! We did simple illustrations of the pups that were added to the suite! Their cute sketched faces were then carried through everything – they even made it onto the chefs’ coats!

Bayli + James

Bayli and James LOVE everything Disney, and they knew they wanted it to be a part of their wedding day! Everything was Fantasyland themed – from the groomsmen’s’ socks, to the cocktail napkins, to seating chart! Such a magical evening.

Justin + Bliss

These two sprinkled little pieces of themselves all throughout their wedding day. The groom loves hockey and the Anaheim Ducks so it was only fitting to have a nod to his favorite team on his cuff links! At their sweetheart table, they had a candle that said “love you to the moon and back” because they always say that to each other. Bliss and Justin also love their three kitties, so they named each of their signature drinks after one of their cats!! Plus, one of their cats’ names is Chandler Bing, and that just makes us so happy.

Vanessa + Craig

These two love national parks! Their gorgeous outdoor wedding was set on some cliffs overlooking the ocean in California, and it was PERFECT for them. To incorporate their love for national parks into their wedding, the couple named the tables after them. Plus, instead of favors, they had a little thank you note given to each guest letting them know a tree had been planted in their honor! Such a sweet way to give back!

Mandy + Bobby

We love coffee, but Mandy and Bobby live by it! Sharing coffee together is one of their favorite things to do. They often travel to try new places to dry different kinds of coffee, but they also like exploring local coffee shops! Amy of All in the Detail Design always comes up with the best ideas as to how to incorporate personal touches, and this wedding was no different! For them, we created their own bistro coffee shop seating chart, along with some coffee-themed signage and their coffee cup favors. They actually spent a year gathering these mugs for each of their guests!

Erin + Henry

Henry loves racing go-karts so much, he built his own! We added a sketch of a go-kart to the timeline on their details card as a nod to his favorite hobby. The perfect getaway car!

Ashley + Kyle

We love when couples make special things for their guests, and this is no different! Kyle can make his own beer (so cool!), and he made some for each of the guests! These beers were used as their escort display and doubled as favors. Pretty unique, and we love how the display made their outdoor wedding feel like an elevated beer garden!
